My Marriage, My Money and paying with your mobile!
Stand by your beds, this is a long one!!
I had to write something about this new idea when it came my way for a couple of reasons, yes I want to recommend this because it may make me some money but also because of the situation that A LOT of people do find themselves in nowadays and that is having no form of credit and THAT my friend, I can speak about from a very personal perspective, because I have been there, done that, got the TShirt, had to sell it to eat…. you know the rest…
“But why” I hear you ask “does she mention marriage in her title?”
Well I will tell you…
Gonna get a wee bit personal with you here.. my marriage broke up almost two years ago now and no it was not for the reason I am about to share with you.. in fact I’m not about to share with you too much, not sure we know each other well enough yet LOL – anyway.. during the last troubled years of my marriage we were also in financial trouble, which just seemed to get worse and worse no matter which way we turned.. isn’t life just like that?, wouldn’t a marriage going wrong and all that comes along with that be bad enough? no, apparently not, “Life” sometimes likes to mix things up even more as it did with us..
Our financial situation got so bad that we lost the marital home, it was repossessed – we both came out of that marriage with, er, umm, let me think.. I was going to say nothing but that’s not true, we have a beautiful son together so I would not ever regret the union but that was it.. oh but wait, silly me, I forgot, we also came out of that marriage with ‘BAD CREDIT’…
Well as most of you probably know, one of the things bad credit means is no credit cards, no way of paying for most things, not unless merchants take cash and when I really started to get into working online I quickly found, if I didn’t have a PayPal account or a Major credit card or both then it was almost impossible to pay for the few things I could afford to start to grow my business.
That changed for me when I stumbled across “cashplus” which is by the Post Office (UK) and they have a pre-paid credit card, issued by Master Card… but its not really a credit card because there is no “credit” it’s like a pay-as-you-go phone – with this card you can only spend what you have already pre-loaded onto the card, which means, there are no credit checks on a person and anyone over the age of 18 can get one (and of course your not going to get into further debt with this).
What a fantastic idea and I have had that card now for almost two years and I can use it anywhere you would normally use a Master Card.. bloody marvellous… so anywho…
That brings me to my main point (thank **** for that you say LOL )..
Just like I thought “CashPlus” was and is a brilliant idea, another one has come along called “MobillCash” which I also think is a stonking good idea…. and hey if I can also make a bit of loose change out of it too, that’s a bonus!
This is simple, merchants can sign-up to this and start to accept payments for “whatever” via a persons mobile phone (cell phone to my American friends) and they have no problem doing that simply because the phones’ service provider will guarantee the payment…
Merchant happy, customer happy, transaction over – sweet!
This has been in testing for a year with fantastic results and some of the major phone providers around the world have come on board. Providers like:
- Orange
- “3″
- Vodafone
- O2
- alltel
- AT&T
- And loads of others…
Now as, in most parts of the world, everyone and their granny has got a mobile phone, I am sure you can see the potential in this as another way we can pay for our “Stuff” AND as a merchant another way you can tap into a customer base you previously could not.. but you don’t have to take my word for it.. read this:
Untapped Market
Q: How many mobile phones are in the world?
A: The subscriber count reached 2.7 billion by end of 2006, and reached 3 billion by July 2007, faster than expected. Around 80% of the world’s population enjoys mobile phone coverage as of 2006. This figure is expected to increase to 90% by the year 2010.

So.. do you have something to sell online? Well how about giving your customers another way to pay for things, especially those who do not have a PayPal account or a credit or even debit card, there are so many reasons why people find themselves in those situations and most of them are not for any “Bad” reason at all.. trust me, I know from personal experience.. they may well be more sorted financially now but because of their past financial history they can’t pay for things in this modern world.. so give them another option…
I just read back over all of this and boy I have gone on a lot on this one haven’t I? ok sorry about that.. as you get to know me more you will see, I do have a tendency to ramble, I am working on it honest injuns… but because I have well and truly prattled on this time I won’t go into any more detail here… if you want to know all the ‘nuts’ and ‘bolts’ of this, just go to one of these two banner links:
If you have “Stuff” to sell, then go here:
And if you do not have anything to sell but you would like to do what I do and make a bit of money out of this then go here:
Affilliates get paid on merchants they bring in and if they refer another affiliate they get paid on the merchants those people bring in as well, so an affilliate gets paid on two tiers.
Thanks if you made it all the way through this article, you deserve a medal and just as soon as I get some, you will be the first to know..

You’re right that was a long post, but it did say what needed to be said and with my wife living in Germany while I am living in the United States…two houses…three cars….I understand a lot of what you’re saying here. I never gave this idea a thought before and have now added Mobill Cash for my customers though my shipping restrictions keep that half of my online business within the United States (that was why I added both affiliate and network marketing to my “Empire” of websites to get multiple streams of income).
I’ll be flying over the UK on my way to Germany this next week, I’ll wave at ya as I fly over.

Well thanks very much Stan…
I am sure I don’t need to say this but I’m gonna anyway, make sure you give your wife a huge hug and kiss.. it’s not easy being separated from the one you love and I know, I am now engaged to a wonderful man and we live together but he too has to work away from home during the week and I know how much I miss him and how much I look forward to him coming home.
I will look out for you in the skys next week then Stan… have a safe trip.
Take care
Sue

I think alot of people can relate to your past situation. Interesting article, don’t think the Mobill Cash idea has hit Hong Kong. But I would be interested in looking into it only I can’t seem to see the link on your blog, has it disappeared?

Hello Sue: I was led to your blog through AdlandPro – I am glad I
read the blog. It dealt with my favoriate subject “POVERTY”.
The first product you mentioned is the first step out of poverty,
the living on a cash base only. This new product is a small, weak
trap – MobileCash.
It is a good way to advance our personal financial standing.

Sue, interesting article. I was particular interested in details of CashPlus card from Post Office. I was looking for something exactly like this for my brother in law some time ago as he wanted to buy stuff online and for the exact reasons you mention was not able to get a credit card. At the time I drew a blank searching for this sort of thing. I will certainly tell him about it now !
Cheers
