Any Extreme Canoeists out there?
I just had to post some video I took this morning. I live in the Amman Valley in South Wales, UK and it has been raining for what seems like two weeks non-stop (what’s new I hear you ask LOL).
Well on my way to take my son to school this morning we drove down the road a little (about half a mile) and past the Amman river, I could not believe what a torrent it was (is) and so I just had to go back with my new, got it for Christmas, digital camera/video thingy (I am so technical).
This is one of the videos I got, the river from about a mile further up goes down in steps and those steps of course, with this much power and amount of water cause the “Washing Machine Effect” – so if there are any “Extreme Canoeists” in this area then get your butts down here.. it would be nice to video you.. But your braver than I if you do..

Thanks very much Jason, I have left a comment for you over at your blog and also at MyBlogLog..
Glad you liked the raging river – by the way, I looked this morning and the river has gone down a bit today BUT we have had some “severe” weather warnings in most of the UK yesterday.. for rain and high winds so looks like it will stay that way for a while…
Cheers again

Wow that is quite a torrent! I can’t imagine going down that in a canoe or kayak. That is a lot of water to be dealing with; I hope it doesn’t break it’s banks!

Well your a brave man then!!! (also perhaps a bit daft perchance?).. LOL…
Glad you liked the video, I have seen canoeists on there a few years ago (looking very worried I might add, they were with an instructor) but I did not own a camera then, I will be on watch for them again, now that would be a cool video.
Cheers
